I was first been in Zambales during my vacation of mid 2009 and stay their in many days. We went to Balon falls which is one of those many falls in Philippines.
Maybe I can called it one of the pride of Zambales, even this falls is not well recognized by other people living in the town. Balon falls has it clear-crystal water, fresh air and a ve
ry relaxing view. It was located in Subic, Zambales. It's, been 30 minutes from Olongapo City, away from noisy city life. And when you reach the place you will see a nipa hut, means it was the end of the road and you need 10-15 minutes walk to go through the falls. Well you will enjoy walking. You can go their anytime you want, but day-time is the most applicable time, because night-time is not secured unless you have a big group of campers or hikers. You can bring your own tent, picnic basket, and other staff if you want to stay their for the whole day. Their is no convenient store around, so you might bring all your staff needed.
